Transition to democracy never happened in India. Inspite of 64 years of indepence,The colonial police of Delhi has been invoking the colonial laws to violate the fundamental rights of citizens of India. In protest against this violation of fundamental rights Team Nishan moved the people in districts of Kaithal,Yamunanagar and Kurukshetra for peaceful protests and also courted arrest with thousands of others Protesters at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi on 16th August 2011 at 1630 hrs.

In the name of Independence what citizens of India had got on 15th August 1947 was a Tricolor without a right to fly it and a brown Prime Minister who had been educated and accustomed with British culture to perpetuate the colonial rule and the implementation of the philosophy of British Prime Minister Mr.Benjamin Disraeli who had envisioned in very clear terms “Colonies do not cease to be colonies because they are independent”
The existing governance institutions and all the 34735 laws enacted by colonial rulers are being continued shamelessly by the successive governments and sole reason of pernicious corruption and grave injustices in the country.
All the political parties in India are in the form of private family vehicle that are boarded by the people to take a lift to reach Parliament and power for 5 years and loot tax payers money on vested interests.
When you contest elections on unaccounted money and resources, you lay the foundation for injustice.
Anna’s initiative has began active participation of commonman in democratization process.
