Sleepy Town of Ladwa, Wakes up to “Better together”

“Better Together” initiative taken forward with the help of Ladwa Police Station front line Police officers with presentations at Sant Nischal Singh Public school and Sanjay Gandhi memorial Public School. Joint Team comprising of team Nishan and Haryana police addressed the students on their Fundamental rights, Human rights and the role of police in preserving the fabric of democracy in India.

On 28th Jan 2011, Head Constable Shyam Lal and constable Surender Kumar the front Line Police officers from Police Station Ladwa along with Susana Costa, Margherita Brasca, Federica D’Alessandra and aridaman Jit Singh gave presentations to the youth of Sant Nischal Singh School and Sanjay gandhi Memorial Public school and its staff members on constitutional fundamental rights and human rights and the role of police in preserving the fabric of democracy in India. At both the places students took keen interest in fielding questions to the police officers.

The issues raised by the staff members and the youth revolved around prevalent corruption in police and its apathetic attitude. At Sant Nischal Singh public School the youth expressed their desire to get organized to give strength to their voice against apathetic attitude of governance institutions and its corruption. 

At Sanjay Gandhi Memorial public school young girls fielded most of the questions that revolved around the rude behaviour of cops with public in general.
