New begining-Nishan at Noorpur(Himachal Pradesh)18-22 March 2011
On the initiative of Miss Kamlesh Manhash,Retired District Education Officer of Himachal Pradesh,Nishan comprising of Martino, Linda, Yineth,(Dr.) Harjinder, Gurmeet singh, jasdeep, Surya & Aridaman Jit Singh visited Noorpur to carry out spade work for establishing Nishan network to launch Police Reforms Campaign in Kangra district at Himachal Pradesh.
Miss Kamlesh Manhash, Retired District Education Officer invited Team Nishan to visit Noorpur and help her organize masses against police apathy. On way to Noorpur, Team also met Mr.Santokh Singh Saran from UK at his invitation to his residence in Ludhiana. Mr.Santokh Singh Saran is British citizen and individual donor for Nishan initiatives from its days of inception in 2006. He was briefed about the PRPP Campaign and he appreciated the initiative and assured of his unflinching support in every possible manner.
At Noorpur our Point of Contact Ms.Kamlesh Manhash helped us with some consultations with middle class families who made startling revelations as to how the government policies that are aimed at helping the poor become counterproductive. People were critical that since the government provides rations to the labour class on throw away prices they become........! Being continued.
