Police Station Sadar Sirsa- Day 2

From 25th March as part of consultations with front line police officers Team Nishan began its journey to interact with frontline Police officers as the first step to know about their limitations and challenges and also conduct public surveys to know about pulse in 43 villages that fall under the juridiction of this police station.

Public trust on police is the corner stone of succesful policing but unfortunately this very trust is missing in Indian scenario. with the objective of knowing limitations and challenges of police and then knowing about public aspirations through public surveys, we began our journey with Police station Sadar Sirsa that has 43 villages in its juridiction. We began with our customary call on at SP Office and the response we got from Mr.Satender Kumar Gupta,IPS was very inspiring and we can call it begining of a new Era on Police-Public partnership in democratic policing.

At Police station we got an overwhelming response from all the ranks of frontline police officers. All the discussions revolved around the police performance, resources at the disposal of police, its training, man management practices, organizational structure and its impact on performance and accountability.
